The best way to keep in touch is by updating your contact information. Log in on the Educator Community web site by entering the same username and password you used as a VIF teacher. Update your information and we'll send you the latest news.

Return to VIF

We'd love to have you back! Before you reapply, you must demonstrate that you have returned abroad for a period of time since your first VIF participation.

If teachers of your home country are subject to a two-year home country physical presence requirement, you must be physically present in your home country for at least two years after your initial VIF program participation before returning to the VIF (even if your visa states that you are not subject to this requirement).

If your home country does not subject teachers to a physical presence requirement, you are not required to return home but you must reside outside of the U.S. for no less than one year to be eligible for a second tour with VIF. You may, however, reapply to VIF before completing the one-year requirement as long as it is fulfilled by the beginning of your second tour with VIF.
