	Conduct background checks
	Check references
	Review proctored writing samples
	Evaluate English knowledge and fluency
	Conduct face-to-face interviews and review a teacher's lesson plans to analyze his or her approach to classroom management and instruction

With VIF's high admissions standards, less than one of every 10 applicants is accepted into the program.
